AŽD-Excursion – registration started!

In July, we take a short trip to the Czech Republic. Driverless trains began operating on the line from Kopidlno to Dolní Bousov earlier this year. The Dětenice Competence Centre of AŽD Praha, the Czech manufacturer of signalling and communication technology for transport infrastructure, is also located on the line.
We start on Friday, 4 July, in the morning in Dresden. In the afternoon we will be guests at AŽD. There we will visit the Dětenice Competence Centre and see a demonstration of the autonomous train “EDITA”. We spend the night in Prague. The following day, we will have the opportunity to take the ‘Lužickohorský Rychlík’, operated by KŽC with historic vehicles, to Bohemian Switzerland, from where we will return to Dresden. If you wish, you can of course also spend the day in Prague and travel back to Dresden on your own.

Travel period: 4 to 5 July 2025

The participation fee is 60 euros or 50 euros with ISIC discount. The tour price includes all tickets from the Czech border onwards and an overnight stay in Prague. Please do not transfer the participation fee until you receive a confirmation of participation or a request for payment from us.

Registration by Sunday, 25 May 2025, by email to exkursion@verkehrte-welt.org. When registering, please indicate whether you have a valid ISIC at the time of travel. The number of participants is limited!
